Vangelis Porikis, Aparthotels Adagio Director for Central and Northern Europe, says Liverpool was chosen as the location for the first Adagio Aparthotel in the UK due to the opportunity “to launch our chain of Aparthotels in the grade II listed Lewis Building, a genuinely iconic building in the heart of Liverpool”.

Aparthotel Adagio Liverpool represents a key part of the £26m development of the former Lewis’s department stores, which is one phase in a wider £160m scheme called Central Village being developed by Merepark.
“Liverpool is a city on the move,” adds Porikis. “The renaissance started by the 2008 Capital of Culture status, the launch of Liverpool ONE and the investment into the historic waterfront is continuing with this Central Village development. There is a huge demand for accommodation here and we believe we can bring something different to the mix.”
Adagio currently has 90 Aparthotels and 10,000 apartments in Europe and is targeting 150 Aparthotels and 19,000 apartments in the world by 2016
